Isabel Alcantara is the founder and principal attorney at ALCANTARA LAW, LLC. Isabel decided to become an attorney because she was impressed by how dynamic the legal field is. The areas of law that one can become familiar with are almost as numerous as the amount of unique people that one can meet, and advocate for.

Isabel Alcántara completed a variety of courses covering topics, such as Copyright Law, International Law, International Business Transactions, Global Public Health Law, Criminal Law, Contracts, Torts, Privacy Law, Maritime Law, Property Law, Legal Writing & Research, Human Rights, Space Law, and many more. She was the Vice President of the Federal Bar Association student section and was active in the life of the university. In the U.S., law school may only be attended after completing a four year university degree, also referred to as an undergraduate degree. Isabel was awarded the top grade in her legal persuasion class.
This program was held at NYU's Madrid, Spain campus. Courses were taught entirely in Spanish and Isabel wrote a thesis entitled "El Quijote como un vehículo de una identidad cubana."
Isabel completed an interdisciplinary degree consisting in Biology, Spanish, and Psychology courses. Isabel is fascinated by the complexity of the human experience, so not knowing what to do professionally at that point in her life, she took courses that explore our fabric: anatomy & physiology, nutrition, personality theory, and language acquisition.
Her experiences that are relevant to the legal field include interning for the Honorable Migna Sanchez-Llorens in Miami, FL, interning in the Office of Chief Counsel at the John F. Kennedy Center, NASA, and acting as a law clerk for the Latin American Agribusiness Development Corporation in Coral Gables, FL. Isabel also had the honor as acting as a Law Clerk to Interpol Defense Expert Attorney, Michelle Estlund in Coral Gables, FL. Isabel has been employed by small business owners, mid-size companies, as well as large companies and government agencies.
