ALCANTARA LAW, LLC

Isabel Alcántara
Attorney Profile

Overview and Experience
Isabel´s practice focuses on investment adviser and exempt reporting adviser regulation, both at the federal (SEC) and state level. She acts as Of Counsel to Estlund Law, PA where her experience in the investment management compliance industry informs her involvement in high ticket reputation defense before the CCF at INTERPOL. She provides technical guidance to domestic and foreign advisers regarding the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, Exchange Act reporting obligations, and INTERPOL’s Rules on the Processing of Data (RPD).
Isabel leverages her deep knowledge of the investment management industry to deconstruct complex financial allegations, particularly where civil or commercial business disputes are mischaracterized as criminal offenses. She specializes in mitigating the risk of SEC deficiency findings and resolving the disruptive impact caused by erroneous data in international databases. By bridging the gap between technical financial operations and regulatory defense, she ensures that her clients’ professional standing and global mobility remain intact.
Prior to founding Alcantara Law, LLC, Isabel served as a Compliance Analyst at Greenwich Advisor Compliance Solutions and as a New Accounts Representative at Interactive Brokers in Washington, D.C. She also gained federal regulatory experience as an intern at the Office of Chief Counsel for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
